ALYSON O'MAHONEY

As Executive Vice President/Partner at Robin Leedy & Associates, Alyson O'Mahoney is responsible for overseeing account operations, media relations and creative direction for the agency's clients. Among her major responsibilities are program development, development of media relations strategies, account staff and new business development.

O'Mahoney was instrumental in developing award-winning strategies for many of the agency’s drugstore brand PR campaigns, including the Lanacane Dry Itchy Skin Index and Lanacane Sting Forecast, both highly successful PR campaigns. She also is responsible for major Web site development projects, including the creation of the agency’s new Chatter PR (hyperlink to Chatter URLs) division, which will be responsible for Social Media and Interactive PR campaign elements.

With a Bachelor's degree in journalism, O'Mahoney began her public relations career at the Public Information Office of the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. During her tenure at the Parks Department, she was responsible for the creation of numerous community information pamphlets and brochures, as well as public relations for a variety of local events, including Bicycle Sundays, Bike Safety (N.Y. State bike helmet law), the Heritage Festival Series and special events at Playland Park, a historic amusement park in Rye, New York. She wrote, produced and distributed all press releases to local media, including newspapers, magazines, radio and cable. She also created calendars of events for County facilities, such as Muscoot Farm in Somers, where attendance rose almost 200,000 during her years at the Parks Dept.

O’Mahoney has been with Robin Leedy & Associates since 1995.
